bluesource Deployed Netskope SWG and CASB for an Asset Management firm

The Background

bluesource has recently been working with a London based asset management firm that specialises in private debt investment across a wide range of businesses.

The Firm has a cloud first strategy and constantly needs to protect data residing within different apps.  As part of their strategy they were looking to deliver enhanced streamlined protection of identities, data and devices using a single platform.

As part of their regulatory requirements, certain security standards and functions are mandatory, one of these being secure web gateway functionality and cloud app protection.

The Solution

After taking technical architecture advice and implementation expertise from bluesource, the following solutions were deployed:

• Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway (SWG) including threat protection and data loss prevention
• Netskope Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) including cloud app protection and data loss prevention

Following discussions around the key challenges and possible options using existing technologies in the Microsoft stack as well as other vendor solutions, the Netskope suite of services stood out against other vendor solutions due to the ease of deployment, range of features and integration capabilities.

bluesource conducted a proof of value (POV) deployment to a number of pilot users with a best practice set of policies. This was conducted over the period of four weeks and delivered functionality across the Netskope suite of services.  This systematic approach helped the Firm to determine exactly which Netskope services were required and helped shape the production deployment.

The Result

The Netskope Next Generation SWG helps to prevent malware, detect advanced threats, allows filtering by category, protects data, and controls app use for any user, location, and device. The Firm can also quickly identify and manage the use of cloud applications, regardless of whether they are managed or unmanaged. Finally, the solution prevents sensitive data from being exfiltrated from the Firm’s environment by risky insiders or malicious cybercriminals who have breached their perimeter.
